I Want a Bag Like This

Tia, Peyton, and Travis arrived yesterday from Shreveport and boy were we excited! Of course, I know who they really came to see but I'm so glad that they are here. Of course, Tia came with tons and tons of stuff for Ana-Patrick. My entire life Jill has found the most amazing gifts for me, even if it was the smallest thing, it was still the coolest. This has also been the case for all the things she buys Ana-Patrick. She brought Ana-Patrick 3 new pair of sunglasses, a nightgown, pajama-set, and the next post will explain the other gift. She also brought an old cell phone that Ana-Patrick could play with because the toy ones are not good enough. She really knows the difference. She ruined my sister's cell phone because she puts them in her mouth and the drool got inside KK's phone (sorry KK!) So Tia to the rescue, now Ana-Patrick has her own phone (which is so ridiculous if you really think about it, lol). Gran sent her 3 new dresses that she was in desperate need of, really, we were on the hunt for t-shirt dresses because they are the only thing that she doesn't get overheated in. Anyway, these pictures are so cute because they show how excited everyone was to finally see each other!

So to explain the title of the post, "I want a bag like this", this is what Rick said after all the gifts were given to Ana-Patrick. It reminded me of Mary Poppins bag, it seemed as though anything could fit in it. Tia has magic powers!

I now introduce you to Whitney R Mendoza, R.N., B.S.N.

So I finally received my results this morning at 0800. I actually made Rick log on for me and check because I couldn't look. I was standing halfway down the hall while he opened the results on his computer in the living room. After a few clicks and what seemed like hours to me, I heard him say, "You passed!". I thought I was going to faint. All of my blood, sweat, tears, sorrow, lol...let's just say nursing school was really intense; but it all payed off.

The flowers are from Rick (he is so sweet) and the cookie bouquet is from my mom, dad, brother, and sister (they are sweet too!). It was so nice to hear from all of you congratulating me. Thanks for all of the prayers that you have said for me and my family over the past 2 years. I am finally a Registered Nurse!!

This is Amazing!!

Get ready to be impressed! Look how far she has come in just a couple days. My little baby is growing up so fast!

Upgrade

The newborn/infant bathtub that we had for her was definitely getting way too small for her so we found this adorable duck tub today! It's inflatable and she loved it. She was able to sit up and play with her bath toys. She is so cute I can't even stand it.

K is for Keds

We bought her first pair of Keds today! They are the most adorable things and she likes the way they sound when she stomps her feet on the floor. I remember growing up having many pairs of Keds! I'm sure these are the first of many for Ana-Patrick.

Too Tired to Eat

Renee took this picture today while she was keeping Ana-Patrick. She said that Ana-Patrick literally fell asleep in the middle of eating lunch. LOL! I couldn't believe it. This is one tired little girl. We think she is going through a growth spurt.

Completely Exhausted

Look at these two! Both of them are whooped. I can't blame them though, they've had a tiring day. We all know Ana-Patrick's growing. What we all need to realize is that Whitney has been working full time and she also has to prepare for her State Boards this coming Monday! Whit's made incredible sacrifices from Ana-Patrick's birth to now. She's holed herself up in the office studying for the boards, doing her training courses for work and working her regular shifts. I just want her to know that these sacrifices, though painful right now, will ensure that our family will be strong. I ask that we all keep Whitney in our hearts these next few days as it gets to crunch time. This picture shows that she studies till she drops!

How far she's come, Daddy's turn

I really don't remember how many time we had her standing, but she loved doing it. And as for not being able to stop her. All of these events took place just a little bit before bath time when she is 'supposed' to be tired. Well, Ana-Patrick really takes to accomplishment, so when I put her in the bath tub, she kept on trying to stand up! The standing kept on going even after the bath and made getting her into her PJs fun. It is also a wonderful feeling as parents watching this happen. Whitney and I couldn't be more blessed. The added bonus is that all of this has completely wiped her out, bedtime came even easier than it normally is.
